There are a whole bunch of 3rd party foursquare apps out there but only a handfull of them that are worth your time. 4sq&7yearsago is one that you should consider.
Sign up and you’ll get a daily email that shows the different venues you visited on that day, one year ago.
The app takes your past data, even if you haven’t been a foursquare member for a full year, and gives you a daily feed of your past check ins.
As you can see in the photo above, the data also shows what was “shouted” with the check-in. This helps you remember exactly what you were doing and why you were there.
Finally, the app shows you which of your foursquare friends checked in with you.
While many foursquare apps are useful, none of them provide the nostalgic feeling that 4sq&7years ago, does. It’s like having a postcard sent to you every morning.
Almost exactly one year ago, I visited New York City for Advertising Week ’10. It was a blast to see all the different places I went and recollect the memories I made.
