Oftentimes you might want to include a link with your Twitter post. It’s important to leave yourself the maximum amount of space to write about your link and encourage your followers to click on the link.
- If you don’t have a bit.ly account you should create one.
- If you have an account already, you should install the browser shortcut.

How it works:
Let’s say you’re on a page that you want to share to Twitter or Facebook. All you have to do is click the bit.ly icon pictured above. Clicking the icon is like taking a screen shot of the page you’re on except it captures the page link and shortens it for you.
It might take a few seconds, but then bit.ly will prompt you with a box that contains your link and allows you to add text with your link.
I only have my Twitter account activated so this link will share to my Twitter feed without me having to leave the page I’m on.
