It feels like Grandma’s Marathon just ended, and in fact it did (exactly one month ago), but here we go again. This week, I start my official training for the 2015 Chicago Marathon.
I took a solid week off after running my last marathon, then got right back to logging the miles. My training plan for Grandma’s was also 12 weeks long, but this time I’m much further along, in much better shape and much faster than I was when I started training for Grandma’s earlier this year.
I trust the work I’ve put in already this year and the cumulative training from the last couple years will pay off and that I’ll be able to get my Boston Marathon qualifying time at what will be my sixth full marathon at the notoriously fast Chicago Marathon in October.
