How I Got Into Running

I first became interested in running when I joined my middle school cross country team with the promise of doughnuts after our morning practices. Running quickly became my thing. I continued running cross country and track throughout high school.

In January 2013, I set a resolution to complete a marathon. I wanted to get back in shape and challenge myself. I finished my first marathon nine months later, losing 35 pounds in the process.

Since finishing that first marathon, I became hooked. I continue to train specifically for the marathon. My long-term goal is to run a sub 3-hour marathon and make it to the Boston Marathon starting line.
